The Oscar awards truly represent the highest in honors for filmmakers actors and everyone in between. But for me, who sadly only saw two movies that received a nomination, Hollywood’s biggest evening is more of a fashion event. The Superbowl of fashion events if you will. This year, the red carpet was flooded with neutral tones and white. Always classic of course, but sometimes just a little bit boring. I’ve put together my top three BEST and WORST for the night. Please feel free to share or comment on your own picks!

BEST DRESSED

Guiliana Rancic. I LOVED this dress and maybe it won my vote as the BEST overall on the red carpet. I generally like to choose candidates that are involved in the films in some way, but this amazing gown could not be passed up for E!’s funny girl hostess! She wore it beautifully. I just wish her hairstylist had evaluated her head shape before cementing it down and slicking it back! Eh, you can’t win ‘em all.

Jennifer Lopez. The only word that I can use to describe her body is JUICY! She has got it goin’ ONNN! I love how proud she is of her curves and she rocked them in this Zuhair Murad gown. Maybe rocked them a little too hard, as it was reported that there could have been a slight ‘wardrobe malfunction’ during her presentation. Regardless, she was a shining star in this gem!

Gwyneth Paltrow. White hot simplicity. She absolutely stunned in this Tom Ford gown. I loved the cape and structure of this piece. Now….about that ponytail?

WORST DRESSED

Natalie Portman. Sometimes I think it must be overwhelming to see all the options of dresses to choose from as an A-List celebrity. Which is why things like this really baffle my brain! It’s the Oscars – save the polka dots for the sock hop Natalie!

Sandra Bullock. Oh, how I LOVE you Sandra. You know who else I love???…my tailor. I found her on Yelp! She’s in Austin too, I can give you her number – she’s right of 38th street. My only wish is that you’d have consulted me sooner, perhaps the top of your gown wouldn’t have looked like a slop show!

I know that everyone has their opinions on fashion so please feel free to share yours below!
