I just wanted to say how excited I am for all this. Thank you ModeLife, Vivid Photo and Design, and Michelle Evens for working with me on this! So fun! My Joy is internal, steadfast, and constant…though I may have days that get me down, my joy will never fade. I am so blessed, how can I not find joy!
I find joy in early mornings, when I’ve gone to bed early the night before and had plenty of sleep, and then wake up while the house (and world) is still quiet. Coffee cup and book in hand, fireplace lit, I experience a sense of solitude and quiet that is, at its essence, joy.
Joy is defined differently at various stages in our lives. Looking back on joy in my 20s is vastly different from my 30s perspective. I welcome age 40 next month and truly look forward to new moments and definitions of joy that await me. I’m a Capricorn through and through so I will always find joy in quality people, places and things.
I find joy on the looks of my children’s faces as they discover the magic of Christmas. I also find joy in worshiping my Saviour.
I find joy every day in the little things. . . sometimes it’s hard but there are too many reminders that we should be thankful and joyful to forget!
Very awesome giveaway!!!!
I find Joy in almost everything, except maybe laundry!
Whether it be having a house full of friends over for dinner, the holidays with family, bike rides or shopping with my husband, spending time with my friends children or even the quietness of being curled up on the couch reading a great book. God provides us so many things to be joyful about and the beauty of it all is just overwhelming!
I shared this giveaway on my wall! Hope this helps to get more entries too!!!!
I find joy through many avenues. First, by watching Cheers with my husband. It allows us to be goofy and have time for each other. I also find joy through running. Although I may not be fast, it helps me unwind from the average stresses of life. Lastly, I find joy in my work. As a school social worker, I help children find success in education so they may have more opportunities later in life. The students are beautiful, needing attention, and absolutely hilarious!
Bought a keychain wristlet (help me with the correct name, Kelsey!)…at the Rockford arts & crafts show today. Great show with some amazing ladies there!
Facebook-shared and twittered…I kinda really wanna win!
I find joy when I’m using sign language to communicate. There’s nothing better than shining that inner joy I’ve been blessed with by signing songs to Christ using my hands and facial expressions.
My joy is being able to wake up take a walk on the beach. To have that peaceful time to take in all the world has to offer!
My joy is found in pure-heartfelt music, a 100% effort in a run, a genuine hug from a friend, forgiveness from those I’ve hurt, the restoration after extending grace, a family who is there no matter what, and a reason (Emmanuel) to smile everyday!
I find joy in life by seeking the Lord and following His desires for my life. The more I seek and follow hard after him, the deeper my joy!
When I was thinking of my response to how I find joy two things quickly came to my mind.
The first would be when I am running, especially on a 18 degree winter morning with the sun shining.
The second would be when a child in my class just gets it. When I see that light bulb go off in their brain, when they finally realize their hard work paid off. There really is nothing like this.
i put it on my facebook wall
I find joy in giving, running, and spending time with the people I love most!!
Lia Sophia – The fanfare earrings are one of my favorite pieces from your site. Beautiful in gold and silver, and usually I’m just a silver girl.
Vivid Photo and Design – I’m a sucker for wedding photos. Love the one of Bob and Becky in the orchard with the blurry branch in the foreground!
k.mae collection – Of course I love the “Audrey” bag, especially the black and white print one.
The Mode Life – Awesome blog post: Vegan Chili. Mmmmm…
I am also SO excited about this amazing giveaway!!! I find joy in many things – the beauty of the skyline/clouds, close friendships, little acts of thoughtfulness (both doing and receiving) and seeing a vision of mine come to life.

Check and check!
Kara and Lieza ~ I LOVE the “bellies” gallery. My favorite (which is hard to choose) would have to be the picture with the (&) in it in addition to the image that is a close up of the couples hands on the belly. I’m sure the parents will always cherish those special memories that you captured!
Kelsey ~ I believe I saw some of your pieces at the Beneath the Tree Event last month! Beautiful work. My favorites are the Sophia bag with Owls and the white wallet with the yellow tab that has black images/sketch like lines and red flowers!!! Looking forward to seeing more.
Michelle ~ I can’t even choose one favorite! I love jewelry. However, the gold beacon earrings and the gold dancing queen earrings caught my eye! Among many, many others.
TheModeLife Ladies! How can I choose a favorite post?! Of course this one tops the list – but I really enjoy the beauty/fashion posts like the Easy French Manicure: http://themodelife.com/2011/11/29/easy-french-manicure-not-an-oxymoron/ as well as some of the more controversial posts like: http://themodelife.com/2011/10/10/gluten-free-the-new-eating-disorder/.
I am so impressed with the creative talent from the display of the items from k.mae Collection, Vivid Photo and Design, The Model Life and Michelle Evans Jewelry. How great it is to use the talent that God has given each one of us! My joy comes from having enough confidence in myself to be the person God created me no matter what anyone else thinks or says. “Be strong and of good courage,…Joshua 1:6. Stay strong and be of good courage! This is great work!
finding joy. i find joy in simple conversations with old friends. i am learning to find joy in the busy-ness of life…not wanting something else or wishing i was doing something else, so hard but necessary.
I’m not sure why my posts aren’t showing up (this is the 3rd one
), but I find joy through watching cheers with my husband, running, and my work! I also find it through my new little kitten, Luna!
Finding joy for me comes with my two children; Carleigh,17 years old and Camren, 7 years old. Joy is simple, nothing complex. Joy comes in the form of grade cards filled with mostly As and an occasional B. Joy comes in a “snugglefest” on a Saturday morning in momma’s bed with both children. Joy comes from a visit to Bronners and taking pictures by all the outdoor decorations. Joy comes from the hand written thank you notes from my daughter for all I do for her. Joy comes from the beautiful artwork my son makes at school and can’t wait to bring home for mom to hang in his “gallery” (Our main hallway in our home.). Joy is found in the simple things in life. Not in monetary purchases, not in ritzy environments or fancy restaurants. Joy is found in the making of a homemade pizza by the family. Joy is found laying in the backyard looking at the clouds and making animals out of them or looking at the stars at night. My greatest joys are found in the priceless hours I spend with my children. God has blessed me with greatness in them.
Joy…the very word stirs something within the soul. Joy…deeper than happiness, deeper than sadness. Joy…born of peace, hope, and trust. Joy…eyes steadfast on the One who rejoices over us with singing and calms the raging seas. Joy…letting go to receive from the ultimate Healer: JOY.
Just mentioned this giveaway on my Facebook
Michelle (liasophia), LOVE the fairy tale necklace! Reminds me of something a princess would wear. Love it!
Kara and Lieza (vivid photo and design)- I LOVE the photo of the bride and groom in front of the covered bridge. Beautiful!
Kels–of course I like many of your items, but for some reason the one I’m in love with is scarf 1. Keep up your awesome creativity!
The most awesome blog post? Amber’s post on Joy. Amazing and well written!
joy is…
gazing out the window to see the morning sun on a fresh blanket of white snow.
watching my daughter splash in the puddles during a spring shower.
playing ball in the hot summer sun with my son on the fresh green grass. holding hands with my husband walking on a warm autumn day.
but most of all i find joy in the unknown, waiting to discover new things as i hope in my Creator.
I find joy in pausing for just a moment to hug my three boys. No matter what’s going on at the time, if I can just take a moment to hug them and smell their hair, in that moment I can consider joy to be found.
Also, for the Christmas season, discovering Christmas carols that I’ve never heard before! It’s lovely!
I also liked all the businesses on Facebook.
I shared this giveaway a few times on Facebook.
I find joy in crafting and creating things to give to my friends and family. I also started a Christmas tradition of donating to charity the last four or five Christmases ago.
I’m not a Grand Rapids resident, but I’d still love to win the other two prizes.
